ICSI (INTRACYTOPLASMIC SPERM INJECTION)

The micromanipulation method (ICSI) is recommended as an alternative to the standard IVF procedure. Using this method, every ovum is injected with the most suitable sperm cell (with the best properties).

IMSI (INTRACYTOPLASMIC MORPHOLOGICALLY SELECTED SPERM INJECTION)

The method is based on the selection of sperm cells with the best morphologic qualities examined by a high-resolution microscope.

PICSI (PHYSIOLOGICAL INTRA-CYTOPLASMATIC SPERM INJECTION)

The PICSI method allows for choosing mature sperm cells to fertilize the ovum. This method is based on a principle of mature sperm cell bonding with hyaluronan, an important natural component of the ovum’s outer layer. From there, it is isolated to be later used in the ICSI method.

MACS (MAGNETIC ACTIVATED CELL SORTING)

MACS® ART Annexin V System was designed to selectively remove defective, although morphologically indistinguishable cells from sperm preparations.

MSSC (MICROFLUIDIC SPERM SORTING CHIPS)

Ovulation induction

To enhance the success of treatment, hormonal treatment (stimulation) is performed as a part of assisted reproduction methods. The stimulation will cause the ovaries to develop and grow more egg cells.

MESA, TESE methods

The MESA method is intended for men suffering from a vas deferens obstruction (obstructive azoospermia), i.e., the obstruction of a tube that enables the transport of the sperm from the testicle to the urethra during ejaculation. Spermatozoa are usually created but cannot penetrate the cap in the urinary tract. This situation can occur as a result of inflammation, reproductive organ injuries, sterilization, or it can be a congenital growth defect often due to genetic predisposition.

The TESE method is appropriate for the non-obstructive forms of azoospermia. Testicles usually do not produce mature and functional sperm cells. In such cases, it is sufficient for the man to have a sufficient number of undeveloped sperm cells in the seminiferous tubules of the testicle.
